I've been saying "amazing" a lot lately, a word I sent away in my teenage years. I saw it as an overused, and ultimately phoney term that never matched the context in which it was constantly being used. I feel like the reason I've begun saying it again is that a lot of amazing events have happened or been told.
Through the hospice, I met a guy named Richard Harlow today. The stories he told, paintings he's made, and life he is living are simply amazing.
I was lucky enough to walk away with one of his paintings for the price of its TAX. Then, on the way home, I made a stop in Boulder City to see it framed and hanging on the wall of a hotel. That's an experience I'll never forget.
