06/05/2007 --

I really look up to the 2007, blog-version of me. I would love to turn Literary Slumber back into what it was before. The clips and paragraphs from the original months of entries are still very powerful for me.

At this point, writing about the same thing would come off as monotonous. Especially when I, the writer, have no clear intention in droning on about it. Atleast then it was all still fresh, the prison-time was still feared, and the villains were more easily identifed. Today, the bad guy might just be the asshole who won't shut the fuck up about it.

It's so weird how "fluffy" things ended up going in January. It was some big meeting with dier consequences... but we never really talked about what had happened.

Until I find something new to consume my life, I mine as well just repost old videos and reminisce about old pain.

TONIGHT, I will be hosting a listening party for We Hit & Run's 2008 In Review Part 2 here and on Comedypipe/Ustream/Stickam/etc. Join us.

2008 In Review - Part 2.

We Hit & Run - 2008 In Review - Part 2.

Part 2 of We Hit & Run's 2008 in Review is the longest of the series, and covers the least amount of time. In over four hours, we barely travel from May to the start of July. This was the period of time where We Hit & Run produced the most material, doing two shows a week and a very special five days of shows.

  • Brotherly Love: The infamous crying storm out of Anthony's younger, alcoholic brother...caused by a drunk Anthony Saunders himself.
  • Aero 97.1: We Hit & Run's second stint on terrestrial radio, this time on the FM dial in the city of Syracuse, New York.
  • Vicious: Kevin's sad ass blog entries and his teenage acoustic demos result in endless abuse and harrassment from his peers.
Lean On Me!, Kevin's Birthday Tragedy!, Jeff Eats Cum!,Shorty K!, Debut Of Hardkore Jeff!, Anthony Saunders!, Storm!, Jeff Eats A Pet Shark!, Sha!, The Road The Victory Show!, Kayla Breen!, HARO!, Kevin's Drunk Father!, Andrew Saunders!, Brandon Chaney's Girlfriend!, Jim & Them Diss Songs!, Survival Instincts!

Kooks II.

At what age does high school stop being a social watermark?

I, very easily, eliminate most people from my life. Even family. With those people, travels many memories. I look back on the last 22 years and probably remember a solid five minutes. I could put together a long music video of my life.

For as long as We Hit & Run exists, it will act as a log for a lot of people and events that I would otherwise never remember.

I'm getting messages from people that're ridiculous. It's high school again. Not just in the pettyness of it all, but in the direct references to high school that they themselves write. People I've never even met are referencing my high school years.

In high school I ruined every friendship I ever had... and did it in two different schools. When I transfered to Abington, it was a starting over and I was "in" (I love high school terminology). As the first school year progressed, I began to find reasons to loathe every person that I was "friends" with. Who could spend time with these people?

Their music sucked (with an emphasis on the music that they recorded themselves).

I'm a social cripple too.

By the end of that year, all ties were severed. That's two and half entire grades of a high school. I was friendly with a lot of people, and it was an effortless self destruction. The first day of my senior year was the most uncomfortable morning of my five minutes.

Having said all of this, there is still the person who did the most horrifying things to me, and that is the person I can't eliminate. I don't sit around writing their name or moping or reminiscing... but there's the ever-occasional urges. And this is the person that replaced most of my high school/east coast memories.

Haven't read your blog, sorry. I'm sure it's for the better.

Ultimately, what the east coast has to say to me about the internet radio universe I created means a lot less to me than what a certain person might've said about me on a blog that might not even exist anymore.

Yet their messages are the ones I'm stuck with.

(The track I had on here before had a bit of a personal meaning, but it got removed from youtube. I really dig this one because he makes Modest Mouse listenable.)

Abington Drama.

This is all very entertaining.

Taken from http://wehitandrun.info -

Jeremy Russel, a 22 year from Abington, fatally overdosed last month. We Hit & Run dedicated a segment to his lackluster, friend-made "memorial"... discussing the myth and the legend of Jeremy Russel. There is a town of people who didn't full listen to the audio, and have since decided to fly across the country and murder the Scampoli family.

Rocky Raccoon.

Snuffed.

Does it even matter what was "real"?

Physically, nothing changes. There's still two children that I don't have the pride to raise. At this point, you're in a position where your only option is to make things work, so I understand why you need to convince yourself of these things.

Why does it bother me that you referred to our two week scandal as the result of you "losing your head"? Maybe I lost my head too. Though that doesn't make any sense, for either of us. You said you were unhappy since your made the "mistake" of marrying him two years ago. So what does two weeks matter?

And the car is going to save you? The same car that was your Lawhorne getaway vehicle?

By the way, John Lennon and Yoko Ono filed divorce papers before he was shot.

PEACE & LOVE.

so it wasnt real again? did you lose your head or not? what's real?

not what's convenient for the person you're trapped with,

what's real?
