I've awoken from Literary Slumber. Where can you find me now? Everywhere, really. I'm digital.

Practical.

I've been accepted into the limited entry Practical Nursing program starting this fall. I didn't expect to make it in until next fall, as I've only had 26 volunteer hours and I hadn't taken my English class for more selection points before the April 1 cut off. My score on the TEAS exam must've turned somebody's head, or maybe my mother was right-- they're looking for males in the field.

The PN orientation is on my birthday.

It couldn't be set up more perfectly. I'm taking the accelerated CNA program in the Summer (must be taken before or concurrent to your first PN semester), then I'm starting the PN program a month after. All of the PN classes, starting with its second semester, begin in the A.M., which gives me ample time to find a night job as a CNA.

When I set the goals six months ago, and took my first "placement exams" because I didn't have a high school diploma, I didn't expect them to be so quickly obtained.

My first semester was 13 credits, and all of the classes are from the Practical Nursing program.

PSY -- A+
Human Body -- A
Human Body Lab -- A
English -- B

THEN, if a baby does come in February, I'll be better off than most every parent I've ever met. The MIATA is close! Oh, wait, the baby thing. FINE, a mini coop.

BLOGGER EXCLUSIVE TWEET.

... How appropriate that my license arrives on my first day of class as I update this from my new Netbook.

Broke by Broke.

Tomorrow's the first day of school. Strange butterfly feelings, not so much like the old days though.

We are hopefully moving soon. Though I know I am bettering myself, it doesn't feel like it surrounded by these people. They make me feel like a shittier person with every interaction. I should be proud of the last few months, and I will be once we're out on our own.

The government threw a bunch of money at me for going to school, so I've got a new Netbook on the way for my online class, and I plan on picking up a new vehicle this week. That's when the moving happens.

I have a VALENTINE.

Amazing.

I've been saying "amazing" a lot lately, a word I sent away in my teenage years. I saw it as an overused, and ultimately phoney term that never matched the context in which it was constantly being used. I feel like the reason  I've begun saying it again is that a lot of amazing events have happened or been told.

Through the hospice, I met a guy named Richard Harlow today. The stories he told, paintings he's made, and life he is living are simply amazing.

I was lucky enough to walk away with one of his paintings for the price of its TAX. Then, on the way home, I made a stop in Boulder City to see it framed and hanging on the wall of a hotel. That's an experience I'll never forget.

Tragically hip.

Today, after possibly a year of driving illegally (five months knowingly), I finished the process of regaining my license. I'm very proud of it- starting with the near three hundred dollars I had to throw at them back in August, to the silly written exam, to the fantasy-world-of-driving road test. The scum of the Earth don't bother jumping the hurdles in front of them, and they wait to get punished for it.

Precious.

My attitude at my current job has been reflective of somebody who's graduating in a month, not starting classes in a month.

I've got my first background check in the medical world in process! It's been two full days with no call, and I'm supposed to return on Monday, so I'm assuming all is well. Either that, or somebody had Thursday or Friday off.

I did some sewing today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!IERHQWI$%^@#

Here's the ROUGH sketch of the new WHAR artwork. I'm getting the final, in-color/in-detail version tomorrow- but I feel like documenting it here will be worth the paste. Treat it like concept art.
